Wouldn’t you like the best protection for your engines?
How would you like an industrial engine antifreeze with the following characteristics:
- Corrosion inhibition (ferrous, aluminum, and yellow metals)
- Scale dispersant
- Cavitation reduction/prevention (ask for our product sheet)
- Freeze protection to below –50ºF
- Inherent pH and alkalinity adjustment
- Generally no need for biocides
Continental Products of Texas has these products:
HYDRO Antifreeze Series
Continental Products of Texas currently offers a sequence of ethylene glycol based antifreeze solutions designated as the HYDRO series. These solutions are used primarily in engine jackets for antifreeze protection. Each product in the following HYDRO series contains CORRATE-28A* corrosion inhibitor. This addition will effectively inhibit any corrosion in the system. The inhibitor is safe and effective for all engine systems.
The HYDRO-10, 20, 30, and 40 products are convenient in that the system is “started up” by completely filling it with the solution. No dilution water is needed which is a convenience in remote locations, and no subsequent testing to insure the proper glycol/water ratio is necessary. The HYDRO-80 and 95 products are concentrated solutions that require dilution (see below).
Each HYDRO product is also compatible with most all commercially produced ethylene glycol based antifreezes, should the need arise to “add to” a system due to antifreeze losses. All HYDRO products are light to bright pink liquids with no odor or flash point.
HYDRO-10 Freeze protection for engine jacket systems down to -10°F.
HYDRO-20 Freeze protection for engine jacket systems down to -20°F.
HYDRO-30 Freeze protection for engine jacket systems down to -30°F.
HYDRO-40 Freeze protection for engine jacket systems down to -40°F**.
**This is adequate freeze protection for most areas.
HYDRO-80 An 80 percent solution of ethylene glycol. Must be mixed with water at the plant or in the system. Add HYDRO-80 to the desired concentration level to give the freezing point desired.
HYDRO-95 A 95 percent solution of ethylene glycol. Must be mixed with water at the plant or in the system. Add HYDRO-95 to the desired concentration level to give the freezing point desired.
Various modified versions also available, i.e. Hydro 3 (-3°F), Hydro 15 (15°F), and Hydro 10P (10°F).
*For White Superior engines, the corrosion inhibitor CORRATE-28AS will protect against cavitation. Please mention the use of these engines or cavitation issues to your sales representative.
Call or email the Technical Director for more information regarding specific products or the HYDRO series of products. Monthly or yearly volumes and a central location for delivery purposes will normally be required. Pricing is very competitive and can usually be easily obtained with accurate information and usage rates from your facility.
